In a Nutshell Nutrition
Nutritious and Delicious Dietary Advice
Evidence-based nutritional guidance

About Us
In a Nutshell Nutrition was set up by Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) Cheryl Francis and offers nutritional guidance and advice for everyday health. Consultations will provide steps to help you achieve your personal nutritional goals, and will focus on adding foods to the diet instead of restricting foods.
Who is the Association for Nutrition?
The Association for Nutrition (AfN) is an independent regulator for Registered Nutritionists.
They hold the UK Voluntary Registry of Nutritionists (UKVRN) which is the only register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England and the NHS. Their role is to protect and benefit the public.

About Cheryl
Hello, my name is Cheryl. I am a nutritionist based in East Lothian, Scotland. My aim is to work with you to help you achieve your dietary goals. I will help you make changes to your diet that will benefit your general health and wellbeing.
Preparing and cooking food can be enjoyable and very rewarding, and meals can be as complicated or as simple as you want.
I can help you create an action plan that will improve your diet (e.g. simple food swaps, how to increase your fibre intake for gut health, meal planning, shopping lists, simple hacks such as batch cooking and making use of your freezer). I will provide up-to-date evidence based diet/nutritional advice that will improve your health, and reduce your disease risk.
If you feel you would benefit from guidance for long term diet changes contact me for an initial free 15 minute telephone conversation to see if I can help.
I graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh with a first-class BSc(Hons) degree in Nutrition and I am registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN). Registration is voluntary and nutritionists need to meet rigorous standards set out by the AfN which aim to benefit and protect the public. I am also a member of The Nutrition Society.
